  • Data exchange between SystemDesk and TargetLink with just a few clicks
  • File pooling for easy workflow
  • Generated software components quickly integrated into SystemDesk simulation
  • Seamless AUTOSAR-compliant development process
SystemDesk and TargetLink come into play in different phases of developing AUTOSAR-compliant application software for an ECU.
First the system architect designs the software architecture in SystemDesk and exports the software component container. The container holds all the ARXML and other specification documents belonging to one modeled software component (SWC). The TargetLink user imports the SWC container and uses the specifications to develop the actual functionality and generate AUTOSAR-compliant code. This code is transferred back to SystemDesk in the SWC container. The SWC can now be simulated to test the ECU's behavior offline - a convenient and easy way to perform software integration tests.
This round trip between SystemDesk and TargetLink ensures easy data exchange and a seamless development process. Cooperation between development teams is greatly simplified by clearly defined workflow statuses.
